MINISTRIES AT LIMESTONE

"The main end of our lives is to serve God in the serving of men in the works of our callings"- William Perkins

Being a servant of God calls for connecting with one another (both in our community, and globally) to carry out our mission, and spread God’s love by positively impacting our communities.

Genesis Handbell Choir

A beginning to intermediate level of multigenerational ringers (4th grade to adult) who have been introduced to music in their schools and adults interested in learning hand bells.

Chancel Choir

For adults/youth who love to sing arrangements from traditional to more contemporary offerings.

Living Water Ensemble

In-house praise band for adult/youth vocalists and instrumentalists specializing in uplifting contemporary music.

Limestone Praise Chimes

Advanced adult hand bell choir performing traditional to contemporary music and original compositions.

This devoted group joins in prayer and fellowship to knit and crochet shawls, lap blankets and baby caps that are given to those in need of spiritual comfort or celebrating joys such as the birth of a new baby.

This group has as its mission to support and encourage all men to come to know Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Click here for more information on Men’s Ministry at Limestone.

Limestone youth and volunteer leaders participate in off-site mission workcamps during the summer, sponsored by Group Workcamps Foundation, Loveland CO.  Hundreds of teenagers from youth groups across the country repair and transform homes of those less fortunate while growing closer to Jesus.

In July 2018, Limestone partnered with St. Barnabas Episcopal Church to host a Group Workcamp in Wilmington – free home repairs were completed for 32 residents in need. LPC will be the Lead Co-sponsor for Wilmington Workcamp 2020.

Food Closet

Established at Limestone in 1971, this ministry provides basic food items to those in need.

This effort, led by the Ministry of Caring, alleviates the needs of the hungry at no cost and with no questions asked. Limestone volunteers prepare and serve a complete home-cooked meal on the 24th of each month

Parish Nurse – Karen Zecher

In 2020, when Limestone shut down due to Covid, we began streaming our services online, as well as hosting weekly Bible studies via Zoom. Although we are now open and are meeting in person for worship, we have continued to offer online options for those who are unable to congregate face to face.
